Paris Vacation - Day 8 This is the closing chapter in our April in Paris, 2001
adventure. I'm typing this on the plane somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean. We
rose today to no hot water, BUT the sun was shining! We walked over to the Marché
de Saint-Germain (the French equivalent to a shopping mall) located only
about a block from the hotel. Beth did most of her final shopping by picking
up a birthday gift for her cousin and a duplicate of the purse she bought
earlier for a business associate who had admired it. For our final French
meal we picked up some pâté, a Mont Briac cheese and a small bottle of
Bordeaux. We then proceeded a short distance to the Les Jardins du
Luxembourg (the Luxembourg Gardens), a beautiful park, where we sat and
enjoyed our typically French lunch. Lovely.
